My Experience
Jom kita pergi! #ootd #dolledup

It was my parent's anniversary when my family and I headed to Tatsu, it was on a Sunday night and the place was pretty empty. According to my colleague and a friend who recommended me to go there, the place was slightly packed when they went.

But when I was there, my family was literally the only customer there and we had 5-6 waitresses serving us, just a slight hand movement and the waitresses will attend to our needs. Tatsu is an alacarte buffet restaurant, so having quick and efficient service is important.

Pretty good dishes:

Started our meal with Edamame, I guess this can't really go wrong at most restaurant, the light sprinkle of salt made this dish pretty addictive.

And then we were asked if we wanted the assorted sashimi. Their sashimi were fresh and were in thick slices. But my favourite was still SALMON.

You can request for the waitress to bring the number of pieces you want. Or say the number of pax who wants the sashimi.

After getting a lil bored with salmon sashimi, get it grilled instead! The sweet teriyaki sauce compliments the soft and moist salmon fish. Together with the crispy salmon skin..... Many salmon fish I've eaten are pretty dry so this, is one to remember.

I love the scallops. They come in big pieces and they are juicy. They did not add much sauce to it to preserve its original taste which I think was fantastic!

Standard (Hard to go wrong) dishes:

A must have for me in japanese restaurants would be Chawanmushi. Their Chawanmushi is standard/ normal, not bad and not good either.

Their beef cubes were okay. Not much taste (I guess to preserve the original taste of the beef):

Straw mushroom wrapped in beef (I love strawmushroom, but personally not a fan of this dish):

Some other dishes that they have in Tatsu:

Eggplants:

Beef:

Tempura:

The bill added up to about RM140 per person. (After tax and all)

Overall, I really enjoyed my meal there. Now that Tao has degraded (Last visit in May and I didn't like it AT ALL), Tatsu is my new fav jap buffet. It's definitely more pricey than usual, but it IS worth it :)

What others say?
