My Experience
I headed up to fraser's hill one morning for a day trip, take pictures, ride horses and stuffs like that, but we end up going up for lunch and came down because it rained. The drive up and down was really fun, especially because I was in a convertible. Finally.... FRESH AIR for my poor lungs :) Of coz, we needed to be extra careful because the roads were slippery.

Enjoying the breeze... .... Ignore the eyebags... :p

We arrived at Ye Olde Smokehouse at around 11.15am and we sat at the waiting area for 12pm because they only serve lunch at 12. Sipping a cup of tea in the cooling rainy weather was the best :)

Finally, its 12pm. FOOOD!!! I ordered Roast Lamb Shank. Not a very healthy choice but it will keep me warm :) The lamb shank was really good, cooked for 24 hours and its soft tender meat just meltzzzz... I realized many lamb shank is cooked for 24 hours :) The mashed potato was creamy and soft too, tasted really good with the sauce.

And this is the dining area :)

For my dear friend across the table, he had salad. So, no pictures to be shared :p

These are some of the other picture taken at the smokehouse. A really cozy old English home built in the 1980s.

Need some warmth?

Yummy.

One dry Martini pls.

The outdoor area with a great view. Would have had my tea there if it was raining.

After a lovely lunch, we head back down to kl. We made a few stops on the way because the scenery was so pretty. A lovely way to spend an afternoon. Away from the city, nearer to fresh air and just to slow down the pace of life a lil :)

Comments

  1. It looks very delicious. I try this recipe tomorrow. Today I have a lot of work. My boss watching me, so I'm not bored in work ;) Maybe I should change my office job? If I was a chef I might cook at work and nobody complaint :) Thanks for this recipe :)
